Meteor Arrow
The copper-hued rays of the setting sun pierced through the canopy of Diyah’s Pavilion, bathing the jade training arena in a warming golden luminescence. The evening air was tranquil, disturbed only by a gentle breeze sweeping away the withered leaves.
In the epicenter of the arena, Ken raised the Phoenix Bow high into the air. The gemstones adorning the legendary armament resonated with the twilight, radiating a magical aura. He stared at Diyah with the piercing, absolute gaze of a master.
”An heirloom of this caliber requires no mortal arrows. By anchoring your concentration upon this bow and funneling the pure absolute power of your Star Seal, this armament will condense natural essence into its own projectiles. Watch closely,” Ken instructed, his resonant baritone echoing with unwavering authority.
The moment Ken concentrated his Qi, the frame of the Phoenix Bow hummed softly. Motes of golden light coalesced in the empty void between the bow’s curvature, spinning violently and condensing until they forged a blinding arrow of pure energy. Without a shred of hesitation, Ken drew the invisible bowstring back to his chest, then released it with a single, lethal snap.
ZRAAASH! The arrow of light shot forward, tearing through the air and leaving a golden-crimson streak of lightning in its wake, before slamming flawlessly through the dead center of the wooden target board across the courtyard, pulverizing it into splinters.
The golden reflection danced within Diyah’s widened, awe-struck pupils. “Wah… its piercing power is utterly terrifying!” she exclaimed, her tone overflowing with profound admiration. A broad smile could not be veiled from her beautiful visage, practically vibrating with impatience to master the technique.
Ken slowly turned his head, flashing a faint, condescending yet motivating smirk. “My demonstration is concluded. Now, it is the Princess’s turn to display her prowess,” he stated tranquilly, challenging the maiden’s mettle.
Ken took a step back, yielding the position to Diyah. The Phoenix Bow was now gripped firmly within the maiden’s hands.
”Diyah, before you converge your energy, pay absolute attention to the foundation of your mortal shell. Widen your stance slightly; balance your center of gravity flawlessly in the middle. Draw a deep breath before your fingers pull the string,” Ken commanded, his eyes stripping down every inch of Diyah’s martial posture with absolute, surgical precision.
Diyah swallowed hard, adjusting her footing according to his edict. “Is this stance correct, Brother Ken?” she asked, her voice trembling slightly as she suppressed the tension.
Ken nodded. “Yes, but lock your left elbow so it is straighter. Never perceive this arrow as a foreign object separate from yourself. Envision it as a direct extension of the currents of your blood and the marrow of your bones.”
Ken stepped forward, subtly correcting the posture of Diyah’s shoulders, then issued further directives. “Excellent. Now converge your intent. Manifest the arrow and release it with absolute conviction. Harbor not a microscopic drop of hesitation in your heart. Allow your life energy to surge through your fingers and arms.”
Diyah exhaled a long breath, banishing all trivial distractions from her mind. Her eyes locked onto a fresh wooden target situated dozens of meters ahead. A golden luminescence began coalescing upon her bow. With a single intake of breath and a fluid motion, she loosed the arrow.
SWOOSH! The energy arrow shot forward, cleaving through the evening air, leaving a billowing trail of crimson-gold light, and embedding itself flawlessly into the dead center of the target.
”You see? Your flow is absolute!” Ken clapped slowly, bestowing genuine praise. “Now, we shall escalate the difficulty by amplifying its destructive yield and precision. Do not merely draw and release—you must palpably feel the soul of the energy you project. Every draw, every release, must resonate flawlessly with the beating of your heart and the rhythm of your breath.”
Diyah lowered her head momentarily to absorb the guidance, then nodded firmly with blazing eyes. “Understood, Brother Ken. I am prepared to embrace the next challenge.”
”Excellent. Try condensing and combining two arrows simultaneously now. Draw the current of your energy, split it into two distinct axes, and do not recklessly loose them before you possess absolute dominion over both,” Ken directed.
Diyah closed her eyes for a fleeting second, drawing a deep breath. The radiant energy upon her bow doubled exponentially, forging two twin arrowheads of light side-by-side. Pouring the absolute entirety of her cultivation power into them, she released both arrows simultaneously.
Two streaks of light shot out, slicing the air with a soft, humming thunder, then embedded themselves side-by-side, piercing the target board with terrifying, surgical precision.
Ken nodded in profound satisfaction, his eyes gleaming with pride at the maiden’s monstrous talent. “Flawless! That is what I term absolute synchronization. The bow and arrow must melt into a singular entity alongside your instincts. Do not permit a single physical movement to detach from your internal energy currents. If you can maintain this rhythm, not a single Star Monster from any blind spot will ever catch you off guard.”
Diyah smiled broadly. Her breaths were beginning to grow slightly ragged, yet the inferno of resolve within her chest merely blazed fiercer. “I wish to try it again… I am absolutely certain I can draw it faster and fire it with a vastly more devastating yield.”
Ken stepped forward and patted Diyah’s shoulder, validating her spirit. “Very well. In that case, this time we shall integrate it into authentic combat maneuvers. Loose your arrows while rotating your mortal shell in mid-air. Envision that the Princess is being ambushed from two opposing directions simultaneously. Anchor your focus upon the rhythm of your footing and the rotational flow of your energy!”
Hearing this, Diyah inhaled deeply. With astoundingly agile movements, she leapt and rotated her body in mid-air like a spinning top. At the absolute zenith of her rotation, she drew the bowstring to its utmost limit and unleashed the shot.
ZRAAASH! The arrow rocketed in a breathtakingly beautiful arc, cleaving through the wind, and flawlessly striking its imaginary moving target. She landed with an impeccable martial stance.
Ken flashed a rare smile of absolute satisfaction. “There it is, Diyah! Now you are beginning to grasp its essence. The god-tier art of archery does not merely rely upon shoulder muscles; it dictates how flawlessly your soul can fuse with the heirloom armament. Feel every passing millisecond, savor every breath you draw, and permit this bow to act as a direct, absolute extension of your mortal shell.”
”Yes… I am beginning to absorb its truth, Brother Ken. I shall relentlessly temper this muscle memory,” Diyah replied with a warm smile, gazing with overflowing gratitude at the youth before her.
After meticulously observing Diyah’s progression for a while, Ken narrowed his eyes. A lunatic yet utterly brilliant concept flashed across the mind of the God of War.
Her Ice-element Level 1 Star Weapon… If we merge this Phoenix Bow with that Silver Spear serving as its arrow, the ensuing destructive yield would undoubtedly pierce even the aegis of a god. This shall become an absolutely lethal, ultimate technique for Diyah, Ken analyzed inwardly.
”Very well, Princess. Your archery foundation is sufficiently fortified,” Ken stated, an enigmatic smile playing on his lips. “Now, hand over the Phoenix Bow and your Silver Spear to me for a moment. I shall exhibit a rather fascinating display of magic.”
”Hmmm… what lunatic idea are you concocting now? Very well,” Diyah answered with boundless enthusiasm. She instantaneously summoned her spear from her Spatial Ring and placed both sacred heirlooms into Ken’s palms.
Ken shifted his stance. He outstretched his arms, conjuring a protective energy dome barrier around them to ensure the resulting detonation would not level the pavilion. He then locked his gaze upon a colossal mountain boulder situated in the furthest corner of the arena to serve as his target.
With a single, lightning-fast motion, Ken hurled the Phoenix Bow and the Silver Spear, causing them to levitate above his crown. He did not physically wield them; rather, he channeled the vortex of his Giant Gold energy to telekinetically manipulate the two artifacts in the void.
Instantaneously, a colossal phantom bow materialized from the golden energy luminescence, expanding until it rivaled the size of the palace gates. Ken slotted Diyah’s Silver Spear perfectly in the dead center of the illusory bowstring, transmuting the spear into a gargantuan, apocalyptic arrow.
A fraction of a heartbeat later, Ken clenched his fist and disengaged the energy lock.
BOOOOOOM! The spear rocketed forward, cleaving through dimensions at the speed of sound, accompanied by an explosive tempest of energy that violently swept the dust of the arena. BAM! The spear slammed into the colossal mountain boulder. Its destructive yield was so absolutely tyrannical that the boulder—claimed to be impenetrable by mortal swords—detonated, pulverized into cosmic dust drifting in the air. The spear then spun back like a boomerang into Ken’s grasp.
Diyah’s jaw hit the floor, raising both of her arms to shield her visage from the violent shockwave. Her eyes sparkled with immeasurable, profound awe. “Wahhh… Insanity! That absolutely defies all mortal logic, Brother Ken!” she shrieked hysterically. “I never, in my wildest dreams, fathomed that two disparate armaments could be fused into a single attack that lethally devastating!”
Ken lowered his head slightly, smothering his blazing aura while flashing a faint smirk. “Now, it is your turn to execute it, Princess. Do not shrink in fear if your initial attempt results in a chaotic failure. I shall stand right here and guide the flow of your energy, step by step.”
Diyah nodded with ironclad resolve. Though her breaths were slightly ragged from the torrential surge of adrenaline, the absolute conviction to master that lethal technique blazed brilliantly in her eyes. “Understood, Brother Ken. I am prepared to shoulder the pressure.”
Ken returned the two sacred heirlooms into Diyah’s grasp. “Do not rush. Initiate by balancing the current of your Qi upon these two artifacts. Envision this silver spear as being entirely devoid of weight; transmute its very nature into a pure arrow. And position this Phoenix Bow as its launch trajectory. Anchor your mind’s eye upon the absolute deepest core of your target—do not merely rely upon the muscles of your arms, but rather the explosive detonation of power from the vortex of your Star Seal.”
Diyah nodded in perfect comprehension. She adjusted her martial stance to its most impregnable form. Ken stepped directly behind her, resting a single palm upon Diyah’s shoulder to bestow energetic resonance, seamlessly guiding the maiden’s circulatory flow.
”Draw the bow’s energy slowly… yes, hold it at that absolute threshold. Now, visualize the silver spear elongating, siphoning the fiery aura from the bow. Fuse their two elements together meticulously,” Ken whispered intimately near her ear.
After failing several times to counterbalance their original weight, Diyah finally managed to project the aura of the colossal bow above her crown. Her silver spear was now engulfed in a violently churning red-blue energy.
Ken smiled in profound satisfaction as he palpably felt the equilibrium. “Absolutely magnificent, Diyah! The foundation is locked. Now, release your grip slowly—drive the entirety of your emotional detonation into the target boulder over there!”
SRAAAASH!
The fused spear and bow projectile released by Diyah rocketed forth, tearing through the void. The shot slammed into a fresh target boulder. KRAAAK! A thunderous explosion erupted, fracturing the colossal boulder and splitting it cleanly in two, even though it had not been entirely pulverized into dust like Ken’s.
Diyah glanced back to stare at Ken, her visage radiating with the sweat of absolute pride. “I succeeded, Brother Ken! I could palpably feel the draw of its energy synchronizing flawlessly with the beating of my heart!”
Ken patted Diyah’s shoulder proudly. “An extraordinary milestone for an initial attempt. But engrave this in your mind: this merely grazes the surface. This technique demands an extreme echelon of harmonization between explosive yield, mental focus, and the timing of the release. The more frequently you temper your energy collisions, the more terrifyingly its destructive force will evolve.”
Diyah drew a long, deep breath to stabilize her heaving chest, her beaming smile refusing to fade. “I swear I will temper this technique every single day until I bleed, Brother Ken. I wish to execute that absolute annihilation exactly as you demonstrated!”
Ken smiled and gave a firm nod. “In that case, let us repeat the crucible. I shall continuously guide the rotation of your energy until your muscles and meridians have memorized it absolutely instinctively.”
Diyah raised her bow and spear once more. The stone target before her seemingly challenged her to obliterate it. Ken returned to stand by her side, his gaze as sharp as a hawk’s, meticulously dissecting the movement of every single muscle fiber in the maiden’s body.
”Remember the core principle, Diyah. This is no mere weightlifting contest. Your consciousness must dissolve and fuse into the steel core of that spear and the crystal of that bow,” Ken instructed, leaning his body slightly forward, as if supernaturally transferring the tranquility of a war god directly into Diyah’s mortal shell.
Diyah swallowed hard, nodding obediently. She slowly drew the imaginary bowstring, levitating her silver spear into the air, and attempted to project the phantom of the colossal arrow above her crown once more. This time, her martial stance was phenomenally sturdier. However, intoxicated by the eagerness to unleash an explosive yield, the moment she fired, her center of gravity faltered. The spear merely glided halfway across its trajectory before hemorrhaging its power, crashing into the dirt with a pathetic thud and a humiliating plume of dust.
”Hmm, it is fine. Relax,” Ken reassured her, a faint smile dissolving Diyah’s mounting frustration. “You had nearly grazed the absolute point of perfection just then. Look, the timing of your soul’s release must be far more harmonized. Do not merely rely upon the muscles of your arms to propel it. Siphon the energy from the earth through your feet, channel it up your spine, and then detonate that entire essence through your bow and spear.”
Diyah nodded once more. She closed her eyes for a heartbeat, hermetically isolating all ambient noise, and drew an impossibly deep breath. She visualized her spear elongating without bounds, her Phoenix Bow blazing with eternal hellfire, and the energies of both converging into a single, absolute axis.
Diyah’s eyes abruptly snapped open, radiating a lethal glint. This time, upon its release, the colossal arrow rocketed forward without encountering the most microscopic sliver of resistance.
ZWWWOOOOSH!
A deafening, roaring thunder tore the air asunder, causing the pavilion’s protective layers to quake violently. The comet-like arrow slammed into the massive boulder with a massively destructive detonation. BLAARRR! The colossal boulder was instantaneously pulverized into microscopic fragments, sending a volcanic cloud of dust spiraling high into the heavens.
”Phenomenal!” Diyah shrieked while doing a tiny, ecstatic hop, her eyes sparkling in absolute disbelief at the apocalyptic destruction she had just birthed. “I successfully leveled it!”
Ken flashed a broad, genuine smile. “Absolutely brilliant! But engrave this into your mind, Princess… this god-tier technique will only unveil its true, terrifying potential when executed amidst the absolute chaos of a battlefield. Once you have mastered it with your eyes closed, the Princess may even experiment to forge variations of assaults that are infinitely more horrifying.”
Diyah furrowed her brows in profound curiosity, yet her gaze blazed with an insatiable hunger for martial knowledge. “Variations of massacre? What kind of forms do they take, Brother Ken?”
”For instance,” Ken raised his index finger, detailing a military tactic with a tone that was tranquil yet lethally cold, “after the initial colossal arrow is unleashed, the Princess must utilize a repulsive magnetic force to summon the spear back to your grasp within a fraction of a second. Then… transmute the residual energy in the void into a ceaseless barrage of new arrows without pausing for a single breath. If you are capable of condensing your Qi at such blinding speeds, the destructive yield of the assault will resemble a meteorite shower raining down from the heavens.”
”Meteorite Shower…” Diyah nodded slowly, vividly visualizing the sheer epic scale of such a tactic. She flashed a faint smirk heavily saturated with a lethal ambition. “A truly beautiful moniker for a technique of absolute annihilation. Very well, Brother Ken. I shall temper myself mercilessly to manifest that ‘Meteor Arrow’.”
Ken lightly patted the maiden’s shoulder, feeling that today’s physical conditioning had reached its absolute zenith. “Now, sheathe your armaments and allow your muscles to recover. Once the temperature of your mortal shell stabilizes, I shall assist you in triggering the breakthrough to fill your sixth Star Seal slot.”
Diyah’s eyes bulged, her lips parting slightly in sheer shock. “Hah?! This very day?! Are you genuinely going to help me shatter the bottleneck of the Sixth Seal, Brother Ken?!”
”Naturally. The hourglass counting down to the tournament is rapidly draining,” Ken answered with absolute tranquility. He rotated his Spatial Ring and presented a single Pancasona Pill radiating a luminescence of unadulterated purity. “Swallow this. This pill will restore the entirety of your energy circulation and mend your torn muscle fibers in a matter of minutes.”
Diyah received the invaluable pill with a gaze overflowing with profound awe and bottomless gratitude. “Understood, Brother Ken.” She placed the warm elixir into her mouth, sat cross-legged, and closed her eyes, permitting the surge of heavenly energy from the medicine to seep in and thoroughly wash away the exhaustion plaguing every fiber of her mortal shell.
